Silent Shadow
by Evie Ivy
Where luscious secrets dwell
I watched you by the table
where you played what game was it . . .
by yourself. Your shadow moves
knowing it’s but a shadow
and could do little. It can’t
explain itself. I linger
to understand, view and view . . .
where luscious secrets dwell.
Don’t understand why, only,
that there somehow . . . is your
shadow left. It can’t speak,
I watch it just be shadow.
And I’ve lost the moment near
where luscious secrets dwell.
