A tangential circumstance
by Brutus Iscarious
the tangential circumstance
climbed the high hill of hope
but forgot its remembrance
of holocausts past and present
so the tangential circumstance
had to slide back down the hill,
landing in the mire
of sanctimonious insincerity
and sincere duplicity.
Brutus Iscarious is a writer of fiction and poetry from Lyndhurst, New Jersey, where William Carlos Williams is interred, so he tries to carry on in the great poet’s tradition. Publications include Shot Glass Journal and the Oleander Review.
